Need a Mentor?
In everyone’s life there are times when we may need a Mentor.
When our work or home life is particularly demanding. When we are
in the midst of change or needing to create make positive changes
for ourselves. When we need feedback and support we can trust.
Wai Turoa Morgan, well known
internationally as a Shaman, Teacher, Consultant and Counsellor,
has now expanded her practice to offer a Mentoring programme.
A mentor is an experienced and
trusted adviser, sometimes called a life coach.
Mentors vary, however, a good
mentor will:
· Listen to you carefully
and skilfully
· Develop and maintain a broad, holistic overview of you
and your needs
· Help you define and create a safe centre for yourself
· Be on your side (which includes challenging you when necessary)
· Make creative suggestions
· Be completely trustworthy and reliable
· Be ethical in her dealings with you
Wai’s mentor service offers
all this and more.
She brings to mentoring many
years of counselling experience, her wisdom and her intuition.
Wai is a New Zealand born Maori
elder Matakite (seer) and will often operate from an indigenous
perspective integrating this knowledge.
She mentors people in all kinds
of situations: those who want help understanding their dreams, those
who want to live their dreams, those who work in stressful environments,
those living through change and grief, painful or positive. She
has a special interest in supporting people both to identify where
they feel safe and to move outside this comfort zone; and then to
return to it safely. Those she mentors are from all age groups and
many parts of the world.
The Mentor Programme
Wai has found that an initial
six-month agreement works well. You get to know each other by email,
phone, fax, or, sometimes, in person. You define where you need
support, with Wai's help.
Over the six-month period, you
contact Wai when you need to with some people having a regular,
preset appointment. Others find that their need is less regular
but with peaks and ebbs. There might be a couple of days or a couple
of weeks when they need a lot of contact, then weeks without any
contact at all. At the end of the six months you might find that
your need for a mentor has gone. Or you might like to renew for
another six months.

You send Wai your birth-day
month and year, photo and you decide where you want support or help,
send this via email wai_shaman@hotmail.com Then the mentor programme
starts with the first step, Wai will send you your medicine wheel
(a chart based on the four seasons your birth date month and the
current year) the chart will last one year.
You are welcome to respond to
your medicine wheel and ask for any clarification (to make things
clear) Wai will answer very briefly.
